Websites running the GFI Theme now have the option to utilize a static header instead of the default fixed header.
Currently, the fixed header takes up a large amount of space on the desktop version of the website. On page load, about 20% of the viewport’s height on a laptop’s display. With in page navigation, the affixed items begin to take up a decent amount of screen space.
With the static header option, administrators can choose which pages may need more space to deliver a better user experience. This checkbox is now available across the different public-facing post types and appears within the WordPress admin panel.

When set, the header will stay at the top of the page and only in-page navigation will follow the user while scrolling.
